Perkins-Prothro Health Care Center
4600 Taft Blvd
With 56 private rooms and a dedicated staff, this licensed nursing facility provides the ideal blend of health care and personal comfort in a home-like atmosphere.
Our decision to staff above the ratio required by the state of Texas demonstrates our commitment to our residents and their care. Our staff-to-resident ratio is 1 to 5 and the nursing staff is supervised by an on-site registered nurse sixteen hours per day – double the standard required by the state.
Licensed nurses are on duty twenty-four hours a day. Whether for short-term care following an injury or illness, long-term care providing assistance with day-to-day living, or palliative care for end-of-life concerns, the Health Care Center provides a support system to help the individual live as fully as possible.
